Slave can be only used for files from the company that supplied the unit.

When speaking to one of the well known kessv2 tuning companies, i was told.

However i was told by another file supplier that your tuner (master) wont always tune a file you send in but will in fact have a database of pre tuned files basesed on sw hw numbers from the ecu.

You could use 1 file on 10 cars if the softwarehardware matched BUT i am told these files expire they will only be usable for a period of time then the kess unit wont accept them, should you need them again your tuner will resupply you when you ask, again i know not how true this is.

As previously stated you need a master system to retain all the rights to the file but you can still have the file tuned by a file provider and in fact any of the file providers based on your choice.

If you compare two ori files with hexeditor and there is no differents, than you can use it as many times you want.

All VAG cars I have seen until now use apart eeprom, so flash you can use from one to another.

I dont know what ecu uses your vectra c, but I can not imagine, that dealer takes flash from one to another ecu and looks, what will happend.
